Design Inspirations

When I started my blog I had no plans.. All I know is that I wanted to write, document the things I’ve been wanting to do for the longest time.. I made my blog my accountability partner.. keeping me busy and living my life exploring.. as if today is my last..

In this journey, I stumble upon creative people, websites and other blogs.. know their stories, their humble beginnings and how they’ve succeeded.  Most of all.. I believe these people are happy people surrounding themselves with beauty they make themselves.

I want to share with you some Design Inspirations that I’ve found on the web so far..  It’s totally random.  I just want to write about them and express myself. I hope you find inspiration in their works too. – Fiona Douglas uses the watercolour technique creating colourful patterns and flowers printed on textile as well as hand painted table wares.

Watch the video and you will be in a colourful journey through her artwork. Grace Bonney launched her design design blog in 2004.  It’s their 10th year anniversary! She also runs a national series of meetups for women running design-based businesses called the D*S Biz Lady Series. She also launched her book Design*Sponge at Home. Check out the video.

Spruce Upholstery in Austin Texas – Amanda Brown has a very inspiring story.  I was looking for another book in the library when I saw hers, Spruce, A Step by Step Guide to Upholstery and Design.  She published her book in 2013. Amanda has a very inspiring and moving story how she put herself back together after a fire and built her business out of her passion.  You can read it on her book.

Design Inspiration

That’s it for now folks.. I will try to share more inspirations as I discover them! It’s an interesting world out there!
